Welcome to Tiesl
A lovingly built corner home for two bipeds and two quadrupeds. The fence is rickety, the garden is gloriously jungle-like, and the decor keeps migrating—but there is nowhere better to be.
A Labour of Love, With a Little Chaos
Tiesl is an eclectic corner home shaped with patience, imagination, and plenty of unfinished ambition. One biped built and developed the house and garden from the ground up, turning a rickety fence and jungle-like borders into a place that feels entirely ours.
Then another biped arrived—with a quadruped, a mountain of belongings, and decor that did not quite match the original vision. The result is a wonderfully mismatched home where projects slowly progress, garden taming competes with furniture migration, and the quads remain deeply suspicious of the bipeds’ habit of declaring victory.
Projects in Progress
Tiesl’s fence, garden, and ever-expanding collection of decor are all works in progress. We are making steady gains, one repair, cleared patch, and carefully relocated ornament at a time.
Fence Retraining
The fence has developed its own ideas about alignment, boundaries, and personal space. We are patiently retraining it with repairs, encouragement, and the occasional reminder that straight is a perfectly respectable direction.
Garden Taming
The garden is less cultivated space and more enthusiastic jungle, but the taming has begun. Paths are reappearing, plants are being negotiated with, and every cleared corner counts as a small victory.
Decor Migration Control
New treasures continue to drift into the house and settle wherever they feel most at home. We are attempting to restore order, although finding a clear surface has become a project in its own right.
Life at Tiesl
An Eclectic Home
Two bipeds, two quadrupeds, and a growing collection of things that never quite found another home. Tiesl is comfortable, curious, and unapologetically mismatched.
The Garden Jungle
The garden is a labour of love, even when it gets ahead of us. Seasonal growth, tangled corners, and small victories all belong to the story.
Fence Retraining
The fence is a little rickety and very much part of the project list. Repairs happen gradually, between garden taming and the many distractions of home life.
The Quadruped Residents
The quadrupeds bring personality, interruptions, and a strong opinion about favourite places. They are central to the home, whether posing or quietly taking over.
